Hi my name is Julian Louis Spaan, my art journey started as a young child, with my mom buying me a Spider Man comic book. I read it and then started drawing it. I then went onto drawing and painting lessons from 5 years old. later through school I became interested in many forms of art and around 7 i discovered tattoos and it changed my life, I was mesmerized by the fact you could "draw" on skin and it stayed there forever! Through high school I was introduced to various counter cultures, and became interested in spray painting, airbrushing and murals. I was classically trained in art school and art history, and during my studies as a graphic artist, started drawing flash and designs for my friends to get tattooed, and got my foot in the door. I emigrated from South African to the USA about 25 years ago, became a US citizen and began my tattoo career. I love art, I love tattooing, and my tattoos speak for themselves.
